Accounting Clerk

Description

We are looking for a detail-oriented Accounting Clerk to join our team in the Melbourne, Florida. In this Contract to Hire position, you will play a key role in supporting essential accounting functions, including invoice processing, expense tracking, and reconciliations. Responsibilities:

- Perform reconciliations for accounts to maintain accurate financial records.

- Assist in handling general accounting tasks, including data entry and ledger updates.

- Collaborate with team members to support month-end and year-end closing processes.

- Maintain organized and secure financial records for auditing and reporting purposes.

- Address discrepancies and resolve issues related to financial transactions.

- Provide support for special projects and ad hoc accounting tasks as needed.

- Communicate effectively with internal departments to ensure smooth accounting operations.

Requirements

- Strong knowledge of accounting principles and practices.

- Proficiency in using accounting software and Microsoft Excel.

- Excellent attention to detail and organizational skills.

- Ability to manage multiple tasks and meet deadlines in a fast-paced environment.

- Strong problem-solving skills and ability to resolve discrepancies.

- Effective communication skills to work collaboratively with team members.

- High level of integrity and professionalism in handling sensitive financial information.
