Step into an exhilarating role as a Full-Time Licensed Veterinary Technician at Veterinary Neurology and Imaging of the Chesapeake, where each day is infused with excitement! Your week will typically run Monday to Friday from 8 AM to 6 PM, with opportunities for rotating weekends and select holidays, allowing for unique scheduling options such as 4 x 10-hour days or 5 x 8-hour days—perfect for achieving a fulfilling work-life balance.

Your daily responsibilities will encompass assisting skilled veterinary neurologists with diagnostic procedures, monitoring patient health, and administering necessary treatments. You ll also engage with pet owners, providing compassionate support and insightful education about their pets’ conditions.   • Advanced knowledge of veterinary anesthesia
  • Monitoring anesthesia for surgery and imaging patients
  • Mechanical ventilation knowledge is a plus
  • Drug calculations
  • Mentor and guide our veterinary assistants
  • Maintaining a sterile field while prepping for surgery
  • Maintain patient records - history, discharges, medications, invoicing
  • Communications with pet owners
  • Collaborating with our Neurologist on patient care
  • Blood draws, IVC placement, surgical preparation of patients
  • Knowledge of IDEXX, Ezy Vet, CUBEX, and Vetradar is a plus
  • Ensuring you deliver the highest standard of care to our beloved patients.
