Reporting to the Quality Manager, the Quality & Logistics Supervisor will oversee the day-to-day operation of in-plant inspection and shipping logistics within the Hunt Valley, MD production facilities.

• Responsible for the leadership of a team of nonexempt employees (Inspectors/Shippers).
• Provide leadership to ensure safe work areas, environments, practices, and behaviors.
• Manage resources to optimize productivity and cost effectiveness.
• Leverage Sales and Operating Planning methodologies to optimize balance between demand and supply.
• Ensure compliance and execution associated with the Quality Management Systems.
• Plans, organizes and assigns the workflow of the team and ensures that safety and quality standards are met and production schedules are achieved following Manufacturing / Quality established methods.
• Instructs assigned personnel on processes, policies and procedures and coordinates with staff and designated support groups to resolve problems.
• Plans, organizes, and makes work assignments consistent with job classifications and employee ability.
• Responsibilities include technical interpretation and compliance with prescribed Manufacturing / Quality / Test processes and procedures.
• Maintain shipping documentation, including records of shipments, Certificates of Conformance, etc.
• Prepare and analyze shipping reports to identify opportunities for process improvements for efficiency gains and cost reduction.
• Optimize the use of shipping tools, materials, and resources.
• Ensure compliance with local, regional, and international shipping regulations.
• Provide a strong focus on developing talent throughout the organization.

• Bachelor’s degree is preferred.
• Experience with the Defense Contract Management Agency a plus.
• Bias for action and quickly resolving difficult problems.
• Able to creatively achieve mission objectives while maintaining compliance and the highest standards of quality.
• Variation Reduction and Waste Elimination skills. Green/Black Belt certification a plus.
• Able to work autonomously, with limited direction.
• Excellent computer skills, especially with MS Office Suite (Outlook, Powerpoint, Word, Excel).
• Excellent organizational skills.
• Strong interpersonal skills.
