Mechanic 2nd Shift

Location: Cockeysville, Maryland

Hours: 2 pm - 12 am, including weekends as necessary.

Overview: Maintenance Mechanic role; responsible for repairing and maintaining plant industrial equipment and machinery, including stationary and mobile equipment, conveyor systems, shakers, pumps, gearboxes, etc. Includes preventative maintenance of aggregate plant processing equipment.

• Performing fabrication, welding, cutting, greasing, housekeeping and other shop duties.
• Maximizing equipment performance through repairs and preventative maintenance.
• Diagnosing and repairing simple and intermediate issues without constant supervision.
• Utilizing electrical and pressure testing equipment.
• Completing required paperwork to maintain equipment and run the plant according to company standards.
• Performing erection of processing equipment and making repairs to both processing and mobile equipment.
• Conducting MSHA pre-shift safety inspections.
• Operating other equipment such as loaders and haul trucks safely as needed.
• Aiding in training of co-workers.
• Performing other duties as assigned by supervisor.

• High School Diploma, GED or equivalent experience.
• Minimum of one (1) year of welding and maintenance experience.
• Experience in welding and maintenance in the mining industry preferred.
• Welding certification a plus.
