Position Summary
Our client is seeking a detail-oriented and people-focused HR Assistant for 12+ weeks of maternity leave coverage. This role plays a key part in maintaining accurate employee records, supporting recruitment and onboarding efforts, assisting with payroll, and fostering a positive employee experience. The ideal candidate is organized, dependable, and brings a servant‑mindful, team‑first attitude to their work.
Key Responsibilities- Maintain accurate, up-to-date HR and personnel files, ensuring confidentiality and compliance
- Lead and support new hire orientation, onboarding, and training processes
- Assist with recruitment efforts, including job postings, resume screening, interview coordination, and hiring documentation
- Support employee engagement initiatives and internal HR programs
- Process and support payroll using Paycom, including data entry and verification
- Complete and maintain I‑9 documentation and employment eligibility records
- Provide general administrative support to the HR team
- Respond to employee inquiries and assist with HR‑related communications
- Support compliance with company policies, procedures, and employment regulations
- Personnel record maintenance and data accuracy
- Recruiting and hiring support

- Payroll processing and compliance
- Previous HR or Human Resources‑related experience required
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, Outlook)
- Experience working with HRIS systems (Paycom preferred)
- Strong written and verbal communication skills
- Excellent attention to detail, organization, and time‑management skills
- Strong problem‑solving and multitasking abilities
- Ability to handle sensitive and confidential information with discretion
- High level of integrity and professionalism
- Strong sense of teamwork and collaboration
- Servant‑mindful approach to supporting employees and leadership
- Positive attitude with a willingness to learn and grow
- $50,000–$60,000 plus benefits
- Onsite preferred but open to 2 days remote
