Transportation Structural Engineer – Bridge Design

We are seeking a Transportation Structural Engineer with 10–15 years of experience in bridge and horizontal structural projects. This hands‑on role leads the design and management of new and rehabilitation bridge projects, ensuring quality, schedule, and budget adherence. You will mentor design engineers, coordinate with subconsultants, and work closely with clients and the Maryland Department of Transportation.

• Lead structural design for new and rehabilitation bridge projects
• Manage project budgets, schedules, and scopes
• Prepare contract bid documents and oversee construction‑phase services
• Coordinate with subconsultants and internal teams
• Mentor and lead design engineers and drafting personnel
• Build strong client relationships

• Bachelor’s degree in Civil Engineering or related field (accredited program)
• Licensed Professional Engineer (PE) in Maryland
• 10–15 years of structural design experience, including bridge projects
• Experience with AASHTO LRFD bridge design
• Knowledge of steel, reinforced concrete, and prestressed concrete design principles
• Strong project management and business development skills
• Excellent communication, teamwork, and leadership abilities

• Master’s degree in Civil Engineering
• 3+ years leading design engineers and drafting staff
• Proven experience with Maryland Department of Transportation projects
