We believe people should love what they do – in this role, you will be responsible for:

• The Pricing & Estimating Sr Manager is responsible for the overall department performance and growth of personnel. Will oversee staff in developing fully supported pricing proposals that will be submitted in response to government and other customer requests, manages the workload of direct reports, and coordinates pricing efforts with management and other departments.
• Lead the Pricing & Estimating team through proposal development, pricing analysis, pricing strategy, compliance with company policies and government requirements, fact-finding, audits, negotiations, problem solving, and training of personnel.
• Work closely with cross-functional teams such as business development, program management, contracts, finance, procurement, engineering, and manufacturing to fully understand the customer RFP and to develop a compliant pricing proposal for submittal.
• Manage the department workload and deliverables against strict timelines and meet expectations in a detail-oriented, performance-driven, business environment.
• Develop the financial analysis for management reviews on all proposals, including margin analysis, risks and opportunities, and cash flow schedule.
• Desirable qualities: excellent organizational skills, ability to work concurrently on multiple projects, strong written and verbal communication, detail-oriented, analytical and problem-solving skills, leadership, sound judgment, and ability to interface with internal and external customers.

• Develop, train, and mentor direct reports using a formalized performance management process.
• Participates in determining objectives of work assignments, planning schedules, and arranging activities to accomplish department objectives.
• Strong business background with knowledge of government and commercial job costing in an engineering development and manufacturing environment.
• Analyze proposal bills of materials, labor and procurement data, pricing and estimating practices, department estimates, and proposal auditing.
• Review and analyze cost proposals prior to submission to management for approval and negotiation with customers to ensure data is current, accurate, and complete.
• Develop solutions to complex proposal problems using established policies and best practices.
• Complete special assignments using independent judgment and initiative.
• Plan, execute and manage multiple projects including improvements to regulatory and compliance-related systems & programs.
• Advanced knowledge of General Accounting processes and pricing principles; apply overheads, pricing factors, and rates correctly.
• A bachelor’s degree in Business, Finance, Math, Accounting, or related field with 10+ years of related experience.
• Aerospace & Defense industry experience and strong analytical skills are preferred.
• Working knowledge of FAR, DFARS and CAS with emphasis in preparing pricing proposals that are current, accurate, and complete.
• In-depth working knowledge of DCAA/DCMA; familiarity with Other Transaction Authority (OTA) proposals.
• Strong interpersonal, communication, & organizational skills are required.
• A self-starter, quick learner, and independent work style with minimal supervision.
• Previous managerial experience highly preferred; leadership experience in developing a team is preferred.
• Strong Microsoft Office Suite skills are required; working knowledge of Pro Pricer is preferred.
