Transport Planner - Ellistown

Contract Type: Permanent - 40 hours per week

Location: Pall-Ex House, Victoria Road, Ellistown, Coalville, Leicestershire, LE67 1FH

Working hours: Monday to Friday – Start time  (40 hours per week)

• Ensure daily planning service and cost requirements are met
• Plan all general haulage routes efficiently using KPIs
• Ensure all drivers are contacted/monitored daily
• Monitor using inhouse tracking systems and technology
• Ensure all drivers hold the relevant entitlement for the vehicles they are driving
• Ensure all drivers remain legally compliant and driving hours are monitored
• Work with the operations manager to deliver a first class service
• Liaise with existing and find new general haulage customers
• Build a large general customer base
• Achieve set revenue targets monitored by KPIs

• Previous experience in a Transport Planner role
• Knowledge of driver working time directives
• Confident telephone manner and verbal written communication skills
• Strong organisational and communication skills
• Integrity and professional attitude
• Ability to work under pressure in a fast-paced environment
• Confidence to problem solve
• Excellent IT skills and the ability to learn new systems quickly
