RME Mechatronics Apprentice – East Midlands – 2026 Fixed‑Term Contract

We are looking for a motivated apprentice to join the Reliability Maintenance Engineering (RME) team, working on complex automated equipment in a live fulfilment centre. This role is part of a 36‑48 month Advanced Apprenticeship in Engineering (Mechatronics Maintenance).

• Perform proactive and preventative maintenance on electrical and mechanical equipment.
• Carry out reactive repairs, fault diagnosis, and troubleshooting of automated systems.
• Use advanced tools and techniques to maximise equipment effectiveness and reduce downtime.
• Modify and upgrade existing equipment to maintain performance standards.
• Uphold health and safety policies and practices during all maintenance tasks.
• Engage in continuous improvement projects and suggest long‑term solutions.

• UK national or eligible to work in the UK for the full duration of the apprenticeship starting September 2026.
• Minimum of 3 GCSEs (grades 9‑4 / A‑C) in Maths, English and a science/technology subject.
• 18 years of age or older before commencement.
• Strong problem‑solving skills and a get‑things‑done attitude.
• Comfortable working in a shift environment (days, nights and weekends).

• 5 GCSEs at grades 9‑4 / A‑C including Maths, English and a science/technology subject.
• T‑Level, A‑Levels or equivalent with a bias to engineering or technology.

This apprenticeship offers structured training, industry‑recognised progress to an Advanced Apprenticeship in Engineering (Mechatronics Maintenance), hands‑on project experience and opportunities for progression within the RME team and across Amazon.
