JOB SUMMARYThe Assistant Program Director I reports to the Program Director and Regional Director and is responsible to assist the Program Director in the leadership and coordination of activities and to develop and manage the day-to-day program operations of mental health services sites in multiple sites in Fresno County rural areas.
ESSENTIAL JOB RESPONSIBILITIES- Function as a member of the Turning Point Rural Mental Health leadership team, to assist in review, planning, organization, implementation, and evaluation of all program services and activities, under the direction of the Program and Regional Directors.
- Provide individual and group clinical supervision, as required by licensing regulations, to all licensed and unlicensed treatment staff, if qualified.
- Provide direction and training to program staff to ensure staff is familiar with, understand, and comply with existing agency policy, procedures, and program requirements.
- Direct PSC supervisors in the management of their supervisory duties overseeing their PSC teams.
- Consult regularly with supervising clinical mental health services staff, for the purpose of reviewing clinical intervention methods and ensuring quality treatment planning.
- Review client files to ensure completion of all documentation requirements and evaluate the quality of case coordination activities for all clinical staff.
- Provide trainings to staff as needed or as required on mandated reporting, cultural competency, and other applicable areas.
- Train clinical staff in program procedures, specific work assignments and ethical/legal obligations, including client confidentiality.
- Provide annual review, and ongoing evaluation/documentation of supervises, including selection of work assignments, accuracy and completeness of work, productivity, disciplinary actions, and all functions related to work performance, as indicated.
- Will complete and provide incident reports as needed.
- Ability to work harmoniously with other community agencies and function as the lead contact person, within an assigned service area, for community and government programs.
- Attend all relevant county behavioral health and community meetings and ensure program participation in rural community based events and activities.
- Facilitate staff meetings, treatment team meetings, and clinical meetings regularly.
- Will think and act quickly and efficiently in emergencies.
- Complete and comply with the agency on-boarding and termination policies and procedures.
- Perform disciplinary actions as needed and comply with the agencies progressive disciplinary policies and procedures.
- Will drive on Agency business.
- Physical presence at the office is required.
- Ensure direct report staff follow the agency’s timecard, PTO (Paid Time Off), and California’s rest and meal period policies. Will monitor staff timesheets to ensure they are completed accurately.
- Employees are expected to manage their cell phone use so that the Agency cell phone stipend covers all business usage. Any calls not covered by the stipend are to be made on a company landline phone.
- Licensed as an LMFT, LCSW, or LPCC (or a Masters level clinician who is registered with the licensing body and who is working toward licensure under supervision of a licensed clinician may meet this requirement – or has a Masters in Psychology or Human Services and has a minimum of 5 years of experience in the mental health field.)
- Demonstrate knowledge and abilities to supervise program staff, to provide clinical assessments and interventions using individual, family, and group modalities.
