Starting Compensation: 20.95 USD Per Hour

Working Hours/Shift: Monday - Thursday 11:30 AM - 8:00 PM and Friday 8:30 AM - 5:00 PM

High school diploma or equivalent
Applicants must have attained the age of 18 years of age
Must possess a valid CA driver's license and maintain a driving record that meets the company driver eligibility policy
Family member of mental health or social services consumer.
Fluency in a secondary language preferred
The position is designed to work specifically in support of youth, adults and families enrolled in the program. The Family Specialist is responsible for working with clients’ parents and other family members to support the effectiveness of mental health services and other supportive services provided to the client and family. He/she engages family members and encourages their active participation in service planning and delivery.
He/she assists in coordinating and providing family groups, education sessions, activities, and special events. He/she attends the Team meetings and actively participates in development of the ISP and assists other team members in coordinating services.
Division/Program Overview
Centers provide outpatient mental health services to children and their families.
Working with children of all ages, at home, at school and in the community
Services include:
Individual therapy
Group therapy
Family counseling
Case management
Rehabilitative/Skill building services
Medication management and support

In accordance with California law, the grade for this position is 20.20 - 30.30. Placement within the grade is determined based on experience, internal equity, and other factors permitted by law.
