Pediatrician; Inpatient and Outpatient – Per Diem

Position at UC Riverside/UCR Health. This is a Per Diem appointment. Per Diem Physicians are hourly paid appointees whose primary purpose is clinical service. These appointments have a variable schedule and cannot exceed 43%.

UCR Health is a team of physicians, specialists and healthcare professionals dedicated to improving the health of Inland Southern California residents and families by bringing health home to our communities. The Pediatrics department is seeking physicians in inpatient, outpatient, and mixed settings at UCR Health clinics and affiliate sites. This is a Per Diem appointment. Per Diem Physicians are hourly paid appointees whose primary purpose is clinical service.

These appointments have a variable schedule and cannot exceed 43%.

The full salary range for the Pediatrician is $51.43 - $131.89 per hour. However, the expected hiring range for this position is up to $120 per hour. Applicants must have current work authorization; visa sponsorship for staff is not available. This role may involve practice in Riverside, San Bernardino, and Coachella Valley. This is a per diem appointment with hourly pay and variable schedule.

• Pediatricians supervise and/or perform a full range of professional work in primary care medicine involving examination, diagnosis, and treatment of pediatric patients.
• Work collaboratively with other physician groups for patient care.
• Provide patient care activities under medical supervision where more difficult and complex cases are referred to physicians (Associate Physicians).

• Educational Requirements:
  
  Possession of the education and legal requirements for the practice of medicine in California as determined by the California Board of Medical Quality Assurance.
• Experience Requirements:
  Completion of medical residency program; minimum of 1 year of experience post internship/residency; experience in inpatient and outpatient settings; ability to qualify for medical staff privileges at UCR Health and affiliated sites/hospitals; preferred experience in chronic disease management and working in interdisciplinary teams; prior experience in newborn exams and ER consults.
