Maintenance Technician / Mechanic
Role Summary
The board is seeking to employ a plumbing biased maintenance technician who will maintain building services for the Hospital, Hotel and associated areas and provide technical support to other departments as required on a 24/7 basis.
The post holder(s) will be part of a trained multi-skilled team interacting across electrical, mechanical and plumbing skills. They are responsible to the Maintenance Supervisor on operational matters and accountable to the Estates Managers.
Shift PatternThis is a rotating shift position three days on, three days off, three nights on, three days off.
Please note working hours are subject to change in line with National Working Time Reduction (WTR).
ResponsibilitiesThe successful candidate will have served a recognised apprenticeship and hold relevant City and Guilds or equivalent qualification. Candidates must be able to demonstrate a wide knowledge of all trade skills utilised within the Healthcare built environment as they will be required to work as part of a multi-disciplinary workforce.
As the post holders will be working within a close knit team good interpersonal and communications skills are essential.
