An exciting opportunity has arisen within the Digital Services Department of NHS Golden Jubilee University Hospital for an experienced Senior Application Specialist to join our Digital Applications team.
In this role, you will support the development, implementation, and ongoing optimisation of clinical and non‑clinical digital systems used across NHS Golden Jubilee and those hosted nationally and regionally. You will play a key part in supporting the organisation’s digital ambitions, including the continued delivery of electronic patient records.
Working closely with clinical teams, service managers, suppliers, and national eHealth partners, you will provide specialist expert advice, system support, configuration, and high‑level training to ensure systems are safe, effective, and fit for purpose.
The post holder will support the full system lifecycle, including requirements gathering, testing, implementation, upgrades, and incident resolution. You will contribute to policies, procedures, and governance arrangements, and act as a key advisor within change and incident management processes. The role requires strong communication skills and the ability to translate complex technical information into practical guidance for users.
You will be educated to degree level (or equivalent experience) and have demonstrable experience supporting digital systems in a complex environment.
Experience with modern digital technologies, testing, training delivery, and project‑based work is desirable, alongside excellent communication skills and a commitment to continuous improvement.
