Our client is looking for a Quality Calibration Technician to join their team in Clyde, NY. Pay for this position is $ an hour.
Key Responsibilities:- Perform calibrations on various manual and equipment gages.
- Assist Engineering and Maintenance on troubleshooting equipment gages (as needed)
- Manage the inputs and outputs of the electronic Gage Tracking System
- Ensures Metrology Lab temperature and humidity is documented daily.
- Perform 1st article inspection and receiving inspection. This includes the use of a high precision contact (CMM) and non-contact (Vision system) Metrology equipment. This will include programming measurement strategy.
- Ensure all relevant data used for Calibration Metrics are accurate and up to date.
- Participate in Continuous Improvement Activities
- Collect monthly calibration fluid samples, this may include performing fluid testing
- Input relevant data used for Calibration Metrics
- Perform inspections used for Gage R&R, Process Capability and Engineering Studies (as needed)
- Participate in other quality functions such as Internal & 3rd Party Auditing, PDCA’s & CAR’s (as needed)
- Manage Lost/ Missing Gages List – including communication to various disciplines within the facility.
- Manage 3rd party calibration logistics.
- Creating/ updating calibration procedures and instructions (as needed)
- Responsible for working with production to minimize downtime – this includes manual and equipment gages.
- Administer the rejected gage product impact assessment process.
- Associate of Science (AS) degree and/or 3 plus years of related experience
- Proficient in the use/programming of CMM
- Strong understanding of ASME Y14.5
- Proficiency in comprehending technical drawings (Including GD&T) and written work instruction(s)
- MS Office competency (Outlook, Word, Excel, PowerPoint)
- Strong organizational and communication skills
- Self-Starter who is motivated by external and internal customer satisfaction and favorable metrics.
- Detail and results oriented
- Ability to adapt to changing priorities
- Must pass onsite visual acuity test
