What we are looking for:

The Field Technician is responsible for performing a variety of testing, project specific observations and site assessment duties under general supervision and/or from detailed controlled procedures. This position will be required to occasionally work in local chemical plants.

What You’ll Do:

• Operate testing equipment and conduct testing (e.g., soil, concrete or other) and provide assessment of data through reporting
• Utilize drawings, specifications, and diagrams
• Use specific methods and perform tasks to make detailed observations of site activities and give limited interpretation of results
• Maintain detailed documentation and data from test results
• Report as needed to clients jobsites to perform Concrete / Soil Compaction testing and inspection, pick-up concrete / soil samples, and perform laboratory testing on concrete / soil samples

  Some construction experience
• Valid driver’s license and reliable driving record
• Must be able to pass a plant background and Hair Follicle drug test
• Must be able to work off shift and overtime as needed
• Ability to lift, move, push and pull 30 to 50 pounds frequently;
  Occasionally, over 50 pounds with assistance
• Ability to receive detailed information through oral communication, (hearing) and to make the discriminations in sound
• Ability to kneel and squat occasionally
• Ability to walk and stand for long periods of time
• Ability to work outdoors in adverse weather conditions, including hot and cold temperatures
• Ability to climb occasionally, and work at various heights
• Ability to work overnight hours and off shift

Preferred Qualifications & Responsibilities:

• High School Diploma or equivalent
• Construction Material Testing (CMT) experience
• ACI / NICET Certifications
• Plant experience
