• Assist the Deli Manager in managing and merchandising the department for maximum productivity and profit.
• Order and inventory control, maintain product quality, and supervise the Deli team.
• Coordinate production, merchandising, and sales through planning, direction, goal setting, communication, and teamwork.
• Lead the team to deliver the finest product quality, highest service, and great customer experience.
• Help hire, teach, train, and develop the Deli team.
• Unload and sort store deliveries, operate, and maintain deli equipment.
• Ensure compliance with all health, safety, and sanitation guidelines and regulations.
• Thrive in a fast paced environment.

• Minimum 18 years of age; preferred 2+ years supervisory experience and strong deli or related food service knowledge.
• Dependable, flexible, and able to work a dynamic schedule including nights, weekends, and holidays.
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills; ability to give and receive direction in a team environment.
• Outgoing, friendly, positive attitude with strong customer interaction and phone skills.
• Proven leadership ability, knowledge of personnel reports, margin reports, weekly sales numbers, and financial goals.
• Strong focus on detail, analytical and problem‑solving skills.
• Food Safety certification and knowledge of federal, state, and company regulations for product freshness, sanitation, refrigeration, etc.
• Excellent organization and planning; able to prioritize and handle multiple tasks.
• Physical ability to lift/carry up to 70 lbs. horizontally or vertically, up to 20 feet without mechanical assistance, for up to 4 hours.
• Able to stand continuously for up to 4 hours and complete an 8‑hour shift.
• Operate slicer, wrapping, and cooking equipment; maintain equipment in safe working condition.
• Perform other related duties as assigned.

The pay range for this position is $19.50 – $29.15 per hour, based on experience and qualifications.
