Summary
Assist the site administrator in the organization and administration of the school and support district leadership projects.
Responsibilities- Implement the school and district instructional program.
- Determine school and community needs related to the instructional program.
- Coordinate auxiliary services and additional school activities assigned by the site administrator.
- Supervise, counsel, and discipline students; provide student guidance services as needed.
- Screen student referrals and initiate appropriate action.
- Assist in informal and formal classroom observations of teachers.
- Prepare and administer performance appraisals of classified and certificated staff.
- Conduct key leadership projects including curriculum development, assessments, data analysis, personnel, budgets, and staff development.
- Perform other duties as assigned by site and/or district administrator(s).
- Knowledge of organizational principles, laws, and policies related to student discipline, attendance, and transfers.
- Strong organizational skills and ability to establish effective relationships with staff, students, parents, and the public.
- Knowledge of appropriate grade‑level curricula, resources, and instructional practices.
- Knowledge of classroom management strategies and guidance and counseling objectives.
- Ability to implement the school instructional program and assist in administrative duties related to leadership projects.
Requires a Bachelor’s Degree and three years of successful teaching experience. A Master’s Degree is desired.
Licenses and CertificatesValid California K‑12 teaching credential, valid Administrative Services Credential, and valid California Driver’s License required.
