Fleet Technician

Position Overview

Service Master by Rice is a growing company committed to helping customers navigate through difficult times in their lives as they recover from disasters. As we continue to expand, we are seeking a part-time fleet maintenance technician.

As a fleet maintenance technician, you will report to work at 6 AM. You will help maintain the safety and longevity of Company fleet vehicles including but not limited to cargo vans, trucks, and trailers. Typical hours will be Monday‑Friday 6 AM‑Noon, with the possibility for additional hours if assistance is needed with relocation of equipment.

• Perform daily safety inspections, check tire pressure, and ensure lights/signals are functioning. Check and change wiper blades.
• Clean and wash vehicles to maintain a professional appearance.
• Ensure vehicles are properly filled with gasoline for daily function.
• Cleans miscellaneous items from vehicles.
• Additional duties in warehouse to maintain supplies.
• Ensure compliance with all safety regulations, DOT rules and company procedures.
• Report vehicle damage, accidents or necessary repairs immediately.

• Valid driver’s license. CDL preferred.
• Must be at least 18 years of age.

• Ability to lift, carry, push, and pull 50 pounds.
• Ability to sit for periods of time.
• Be able to stand on your feet on concrete surfaces throughout the day.
