As a Clinic RN, you will contribute to the success of the clinic by providing patient care through all phases of the Endoscopy experience—from admission through discharge according to established guidelines. Provides patient care activities to patients of diverse ages.

• Provide patient care through all phases of the Endoscopy experience; admission through discharge according to established guidelines.
• Deliver patient care activities to patients of diverse ages.
• Assist physicians in a wide variety of endoscopy procedures.
• Maintain a safe environment for patients, families, physicians, and staff.
• Initiate and direct procedure room setup, turnover, and cleanup.

• Prepares and evaluates outpatients prior to the procedure in an efficient and caring manner; may include pre-procedure calls to patients and/or physician offices to obtain information.
• Demonstrates the ability to organize work and enhance the safety and quality of patient care, service, and treatment.
• Proficient in IV skills.
• Review charts to ensure completeness in documentation.
• Utilizes computer software for electronic medical record documentation (EMR).
• ECG interpretation and ongoing physiological assessment through all phases of the Endoscopy experience.

• Possession of a current or compact state license as a registered nurse issued/defined by the State of Iowa.
• Basic Life Support (BLS) certification within six (6) weeks of hire; acceptable providers include American Heart Association BLS for Healthcare Providers.
• Basic computer knowledge including Microsoft Office; familiarity with Pro Vation RN & MD is helpful.
• Advanced Cardiac Life Support (ACLS) certification or obtained within six (6) months of hire.
• Mandatory Reporter abuse training completion within three (3) months of hire.
• Ability to read, write and speak English.
