Position Overview
Responsible to the Chief Executive Officer (CEO).
Recommends and participates in committee formulation of policy to the Youth and Pork Tent, and Promotion Committee.
Administer youth education programs including ambassador/queen, Pig to Plate and other programs.
Manage Pork Tent operations.
Due to the nature of the organization and its response to industry concerns, may be held responsible for specific duties not contained in this description at the direction of the CEO.
QualificationsCollege degree in communications, marketing, event planning, education or closely related field.
Skills:
understanding of administrative procedures; social media platforms; agriculture youth programs; ability to work effectively with people; and strong communication in verbal and written form.
The position will require some travel within the State of Iowa using an association provided vehicle. A valid driver’s license and good driving record are required.
LocationWill be located at the association’s office in Clive (western suburb of Des Moines).
CompensationWill be determined based upon experience and education.
