Nurse Technician

Overview

Nursing Assistant Position Summary. The Nursing Assistant provides essential support to nursing staff by performing basic patient care duties, assisting with daily living activities, and ensuring a safe and clean environment for patients.

• Perform basic patient care tasks including hygiene, grooming, and mobility support.
• Provide general nursing care such as patient positioning, lifting, turning, and use of assistive equipment.
• Assist with toileting using bedpans, urinals, commodes, or ambulation.
• Take and document vital signs including temperature, pulse, respiration, weight, height, and blood pressure, as well as intake and output measurements.
• Assist in patient admission, transfer, and discharge, including handling personal belongings.
• Maintain a clean and comfortable patient environment.
• Respond promptly to patient call lights, telephone, and paging systems.
• Perform other related duties as assigned.

Effective Communication And Teamwork Skills Required. Ability to prioritize patient needs in a fast-paced care setting.

The requirements listed below are representative of the knowledge, skills and/or abilities required.

Minimum six months of experience in an acute or long-term care facility preferred.

CPR/BCLS certification required.
