Job Description & How to Apply Below
We are recruiting a Process Improvement / Manufacturing Engineer to support day-to-day operational performance in a fast-paced production environment. This is a hands-on role focused on improving flow, increasing capacity and reducing waste across production lines, working closely with a senior engineer who will set priorities and direction.
This role may also suit candidates with backgrounds in Industrial Engineering, Continuous Improvement or Operational Excellence who are looking to deepen their practical, on-the-floor experience.
You will spend significant time on the factory floor understanding how work is actually performed, identifying constraints, collecting data and supporting the implementation of practical, low-cost improvements.
What You Will Be Doing
You will be responsible for:
* Implementing improvements across the work space
* Identifying bottlenecks, waste and reliability issues through observation
* Turning findings into straightforward improvement actions and recommendations
* Supporting and implementing changes to workflow, tooling, layout and safe working practices
* Preparing simple cost–benefit cases with guidance from the senior engineer
* Working closely with production, maintenance and planning teams to trial improvements
* Presenting structured findings to the senior engineer and wider management
What We Are Looking For
This role will suit someone who:
* Has around 3–5 years’ experience in a manufacturing or production environment
* Is practical, curious and confident working on the shop floor
* Enjoys problem solving and improving how work gets done
* Can work with operational data and basic time-based analysis
* Communicates clearly with operators, supervisors and managers
Experience with lean manufacturing, continuous improvement or operational excellence tools is beneficial. Exposure to CNC or semi-automated equipment is essential
