Operational Project Support Lead in Health & Social Care

Description: The Operational Project Support Lead will expand capacity within the LD Division to ensure successful operational involvement, engagement and smooth delivery of DSR and other strategic projects. The role coordinates administrative, logistical, and operational activities, tracking progress, managing documentation, supporting communication between stakeholders, and ensuring project plans are executed.

Principal Accountabilities
  • Team Coordination:
    Facilitating collaboration among team members, ensuring everyone understands their roles, and removing obstacles to progress.
  • Milestone Tracking:
    Monitoring project deliverables, timelines, and budgets, and reporting on progress to Area managers and Head of Operations.
  • Stakeholder Communication:
    Acting as a point of contact for project updates, risks, and issues, ensuring clear, consistent communication.
  • Documentation and Reporting:
    Maintaining accurate project records, preparing reports, and supporting compliance with organisational standards.
  • Continuity and Progress:
    Proactively stepping in to complete tasks or fill gaps to ensure timely and effective delivery of operational project objectives.
Responsibilities Common To All Leads

Essential Criteria
  • Minimum of 2 years experience in adult social care, particularly supporting people with learning disabilities, autism, acquired brain injury.
  • Experience working in creative, innovative environments and using data to inform and improve practice.
  • Experience partnership working.
  • Experience managing resources within agreed budget.
  • Experience using IT systems in management of service and people.
  • Excellent communications skills, both written and verbal.
  • Significant knowledge and understanding of needs of people with mental health or learning disabilities.
  • Ability to apply policy and procedure to achieve quality outcomes for people.
  • Initiative, self‑motivation and resourcefulness.
  • Effective resource management.
  • Use of ICT for information, performance reporting and communication.
  • Knowledge of equality and anti‑discriminatory practices.
  • Knowledge and application of Safeguarding Adult and Child protection procedures.
  • Excellent organisational and analytical skills.
  • Strong leadership and team collaboration skills.
  • NVQ3 qualification in management or care (or equivalent) or willingness to complete within set period.
  • Training in Person‑Centred practices (planning, review, team development).
