Part-Time Universal Banker at Y-12 Credit Union

Starting Wage$17.00 per hour
Responsibilities- Assist branch in meeting performance standards monthly in addition to meeting individual performance standards monthly.
- Interview members and process applications for all types of consumer loans. Review application and documentation for completeness and accuracy according to credit union compliance guidelines.
- Conduct all member account functions, including processing requests for new services, providing counseling, and cross-selling appropriate credit union products or services to benefit the member and achieve established sales goals.
- Assist members with opening and closing accounts, answer questions about products and services, and resolve problems that are within your authority to resolve. Refer problems beyond your authority to supervisor, along with recommendations.
- Accurately receive, inspect and verify cash and negotiable instruments for deposit, accept loan payments and a variety of other monetary transactions as directed and in accordance with established policies and procedures. Balance transaction input at the end of each workday.
- Regular and predictable attendance.
- Perform additional job duties as assigned by the manager.
- A high school education or GED.
- One year to three years of similar or related experience.

- Ability to add, subtract, multiply and divide in all units of measure using whole numbers, fractions and decimals. Ability to compute rate, ratio and percentages.

- Ability to deal with problems involving variables in situations.
- Maintains a positive attitude with employees and members and remains flexible while focused on accepted practices, policy, productivity and effectiveness.
- Process member's financial transactions, resolve problems, and answer questions regarding Y-12 Federal Credit Union products and services within established levels of authority.
- Actively participate in branch/department and staff meetings to remain aware of organizational issues and promotional campaigns; stay current on changes in policies, procedures, compliance and product development.
- Attend continuing education classes to enhance job knowledge and performance; seek opportunities to learn new skills and take initiative for personal career development.
