Hospice House Nursing Assistant Night shift

Due to our significant growth, we are seeking a Nursing Assistant to work the night shift, delivering comprehensive patient care and supporting the interdisciplinary team.
Key Responsibilities- Delivery of Patient Care:
- Personal care (ADL): bathing (assist, bed bath, tub bath, shower, sitz); body mechanics (turn, transfer, lift, ambulation, ROM); nutrition (prep meal, feed, measure intake/output); elimination (bedpan/urinal, bowel/bladder retraining, specimen collection, perineal/catheter care, condom catheter, douches, enemas, rectal tubes, gastric suction, etc.); safety (call rails, restraints, CPR/Heimlich, infection control, isolation techniques, universal precautions); special procedures (vital signs, heat/cold application, decubitus ulcer prevention, surgical skin prep, dressing changes, ace bandages, TEDs, binders, postmortem care, cough/deep breathing);
housekeeping; interdisciplinary conference participation.
- Personal care (ADL): bathing (assist, bed bath, tub bath, shower, sitz); body mechanics (turn, transfer, lift, ambulation, ROM); nutrition (prep meal, feed, measure intake/output); elimination (bedpan/urinal, bowel/bladder retraining, specimen collection, perineal/catheter care, condom catheter, douches, enemas, rectal tubes, gastric suction, etc.); safety (call rails, restraints, CPR/Heimlich, infection control, isolation techniques, universal precautions); special procedures (vital signs, heat/cold application, decubitus ulcer prevention, surgical skin prep, dressing changes, ace bandages, TEDs, binders, postmortem care, cough/deep breathing);
- Additional responsibilities for NA 1+4:
- Sterile dressing for wounds >48 hrs; wound irrigation.
- Ostomy care/irrigation.
- Insert urinary catheter limited to replacement after nursing assessment (no irrigation).
- Oxygen therapy set‑up and monitoring.
- Additional responsibilities for NAII:
- Breaking up & removal of fecal impactions.
- I.V. fluid‑assisted activities (assemble, flush, monitor, site care, dressing change).
- Nutritional activities (O/NG, gastrostomy feeds, tube clamping/removal).
- Suctioning (oropharyngeal, nasopharyngeal).
- Tracheostomy care.
- Insert urinary catheter limited to replacement after nursing assessment.
- Sterile dressing for wounds >48 hrs; wound irrigation.
- Ostomy care/irrigation.
- Oxygen therapy set‑up and monitoring.
- Interdisciplinary team: attend & participate in IDT, maintain relationships, identify patient/caregiver needs, refer appropriately.
- Documentation: accurate, complete, succinct, timely clinical documentation per HPCCR guidelines; licensing & certification requirements.
- Professional & personal accountability: demonstrate competency, maintain professional reputation, professional development, maintain CPR & CEU, maintain relationships, time management, crisis response.
- May perform other duties: clean patient rooms, maintain facility cleanliness, use chemicals properly, use protective equipment.
Minimum 1 year experience required. Experience in home care, working with terminally ill and/or geriatrics preferred.
