General Responsibilities:
Able to lead mechanical, electrical and electronics maintenance crew. Ensure plant systems and equipment function efficiently. This involves planning, designing, installing, testing, troubleshooting, and improving electrical, mechanical, pneumatic, hydraulic, and automation systems. Oversee the design, construction, modification, and maintenance of facility machinery. Ensure regulatory compliance and conduct safety checkups.
Specific Responsibilities:
Implementing a Computerized Maintenance Management System (CMMS) and providing true leadership in accountability, discipline, and performance reviews for the maintenance staff are key priorities. This role also includes managing capital projects, working with contractors, and introducing new technologies. Ensuring regulatory compliance with agencies such as SC DHEC and OSHA is also crucial. By optimizing preventive and predictive maintenance programs to minimize downtime and setting clear goals for equipment reliability improvements, the focus is on maximizing performance and reducing costs and environmental impact.
Engaging in long-term planning and developing strong relationships with OEMs ensures the facility stays updated on the latest technological advancements.
Education/Certifications:
- Bachelor's degree in Engineering and 5 years of manufacturing experience is desired
- Project management skills highly encouraged.
- Design knowledge and experience preferred.
