Overview
We are seeking a highly skilled and committed OB-GYN Physician to provide essential healthcare services within our hospital, ensuring optimal outcomes for patients through expert clinical care. The position entails on-call responsibilities for emergent cesarean sections, vaginal deliveries, and GYN procedures, with an emphasis on delivering timely, patient-centered care.
This role offers a rewarding environment with a team of hospitalists, specialists, and support staff, committed to patient safety and provider success.
Required Skills
- Active North Carolina Medical License and NC DEA registration
- Current NC Medicaid Credential and enrollment in PECOS (Provider Enrollment, Chain, and Ownership System)
- Board Certified or Board Eligible in Obstetrics and Gynecology
- Minimum of 24 months of recent delivering experience with case logs available for review
- Demonstrated proficiency in managing high-risk pregnancies and emergency obstetrics
- Knowledge of hospital protocols for maternal and gynecologic care
- Ability to work collaboratively within a multidisciplinary team
- Fully vaccinated against COVID-19 or willing to comply with hospital vaccination policies
- Strong communication and documentation skills
- Experience with hospital-based obstetrics in a Level 1 nursery setting
- Familiarity with GYN emergency procedures and high-risk patient transfers
- Bilingual abilities to serve a diverse patient population
- Prior experience with on-call hospital-based practice
- Medical degree from an accredited institution
- Residency training in Obstetrics and Gynecology
- At least 2 years of relevant clinical practice in a hospital setting
- Proven experience managing high volume deliveries and emergent procedures
- Must be within 20 minutes of the hospital per bylaws
- Willingness to participate in on-call rotation for emergencies
- No recent or open malpractice cases or disciplinary actions
- Submission of recent case logs (past 12-24 months) and documentation as specified
- Travel reimbursement capped at $500, including mileage, rental cars, airfare, and gas
- Availability for scheduled coverage from March 23, 2026, through April 13, 2026
- Additional reimbursements for licensure, certifications, and travel as applicable
