March 23 8am - March 27 8am
April 10 6am - April 13 8am
Shift Description: 24-Hour Call
Requirements:
Board Certified
Must be licensed in North Carolina
DEA
North Carolina Medicaid Credentialed
Procedures:
Routine delivery - vaginal, low forceps
Complication delivery - C-section, breech, multiple births, abruptions, VBACs
Repair of 3rd & 4th degree lacerations
Office/minor gynecology - IUD, Cystoscopy, Colposcopy, cryosurgery, LEEP, etc.
Surgical gynecology - Open, Laparoscopic diagnostic/minor only (tubal/chronal ligation, LOA's), Operative/major (ectopic pregnancy, ovary removal, cystectomy, extensive LOA's)
Laser certification
Assignment Details:
Provider will round on patients, on-call for emergent C-sections, vaginal deliveries, and any emergent GYN procedures
Level I nursery
EMR:
Meditech 6.1
Hospitalist support staff, 24/7 on call Anesthesiology and Radiology support
Admissions and rounding
Average of 1-3 deliveries per 24 hours
