Emergency Medicine Physician
Join our dynamic team as an Emergency Medicine Physician and make a vital difference in patient care within a high-volume, fast-paced environment. Required Skills:
- Valid medical license in the state of employment
- Certification in Emergency Medicine (ABEM or AOBEM preferred)
- Proven experience in emergency department settings
- Strong clinical judgment and critical thinking skills
- Excellent communication and bedside manner
- Ability to work independently during shifts
- Proficiency with Meditech 6.1 EMR system
Skills:
- Experience working in a Level I or II trauma center
- BLS, ACLS, PALS certifications
- Prior experience with hospital-based emergency departments
- Bilingual abilities for enhanced patient communication
Education and Experience:
- Medical Degree (MD or DO) from an accredited institution
- Minimum of 2 years of emergency medicine practice experience
- Enrolled and credentialed in NC Medicaid and PECOS
- Must be NC Medicaid credentialed and enrolled in PECOS prior to start
- Open ICU with 24/7 coverage, including solo shifts
- Available for 12-hour shifts starting on 03/22/2026
- Resident in hospital-owned apartments during on-call hours
- Travel reimbursement capped at $500 when applicable
