Required Skills

  • Medical degree from an accredited institution
  • Board-eligible or board-certified in Emergency Medicine
  • Valid medical license in the state of practice
  • Proven experience in emergency medicine or urgent care settings
  • Excellent clinical judgment and decision-making skills
  • Strong communication and teamwork abilities
  • Ability to handle high-pressure situations effectively
  • Proficiency with electronic medical records (EMR), specifically Meditech 6.1 or similar systems
  • Must be NC Medicaid credentialed and enrolled in PECOS
Nice to Have Skills
  • Prior experience with ICU or critical care environments
  • Advanced certifications such as ATLS, ACLS, or PALS
  • Bilingual abilities to serve diverse patient populations
Preferred Education and Experience
  • Medical degree (MD or DO) from an accredited institution
  • Active or near-active medical license in North Carolina
  • Minimum of 2 years of emergency medicine experience preferred; new graduates considered if appropriately credentialed
Other Requirements
  • Availability for the scheduled shifts starting on April 5, 2026, including overnight and day shifts
  • Willingness to complete and maintain necessary certifications and credentials
  • Must be able to work standard solo ER coverage during 12-hour shifts
  • Housing provided in hospital-owned apartments
  • Travel reimbursement capped at $500 per assignment
