Position: Direct Support Professional (DSP)

Overview

$2,500 Sign-On Bonus | $20.00 – $21.25 per hour | Clinton, MA

We’re looking for a Direct Support Professional (DSP) who’s ready to bring energy, creativity, and heart to our adult service team. If you’re dependable, motivated, and love being part of a mission-driven organization — we want to hear from you!

Responsibilities
  • Support and supervise clients in daily activities and personal care while fostering therapeutic relationships.
  • Approach all work with respect for diversity, equity, and inclusion.
  • Use verbal interventions to reduce crises; provide physical support when necessary.
  • Implement daily activity schedules and adapt to individual needs.
  • Support individuals in self-care and activities of daily living, including toileting, showering, teeth brushing, and other personal care as needed.
  • Assist individuals in accessing the community for preferred activities, shopping, banking, medical/personal appointments and other community-based needs.
  • Provide a safe, clean, homelike environment and participate with individuals and colleagues in meeting residence needs (e.g., cleaning, meal preparation, social activities).
  • Complete documentation, reports, and data accurately per program standards.
  • Attend required training and maintain required certifications (CPI, First Aid, MAP, CPR).
  • Communicate professionally and participate in meetings and supervision.
  • Safely operate program vehicles and maintain a valid driver’s license.
  • Perform other related duties as assigned.
Qualifications /

Physical Requirements
  • High School diploma and valid driver’s license required.
  • One year of residential experience is preferred.
  • Able to stand, sit, talk, hear, and use hands for computer work.
  • Able to assist with physical holds, lifting (up to 50 lbs), and client transport.
  • Able to work in both open and confined areas with moderate noise.
Shift
  • 18.5 hrs. wk. Wed 1-2:30p, Thurs 3-8p, Fri 3-8p, Sat 10-5p
  • 18 hrs. wk. Thurs 4p-9p, Fri 4p-9p, Sat 12p-8p

Sign-On Bonus

$2,500 Sign-On Bonus! This position is eligible for the RFK Community Alliance Sign-On Incentive in the amount of $2,500 in your first year of employment. You will receive $500 after 3 months; $500 after 6 months; $1,500 after 12 months.
