Van Driver

Drive assigned van route shuttle: 7:45 - 9:15am and 3:00 - 4:15pm

• Enforce all rules and regulations pertaining to student behavior
• Keep the vehicle windows clean, inspect the lights and safety equipment daily
• Keep accurate records and submit all reports on a timely basis
• Make sure van is fueled and report all mechanical problems or malfunctions to mechanics

• Possess High School Diploma or equivalency certificate
• Be at least 18 years of age with two years of driving experience
• Complete a "pre-service" training program to hold a current van driver certificate issued by Port Clinton City Schools
• Be physically qualified and pass an annual driver's physical exam
• Submit to a pre-employment drug and alcohol testing and pass random drug and alcohol testing as prescribed by law
• Submit to semi-annual driving record checks, with no more that six points in the past two years, no conviction of driving while under the influence of alcohol and/or a controlled substance during the past six years, and no railroad crossing violations during the past year
• History of regular and predictable attendance
• Complies with drug-free workplace rules and board policies
• History of regular and predictable job attendance
• Pass mandated criminal records check
• Be able to perform essential qualifications of the job as set forth in the job description
