One of our clients is seeking a Dump Truck Driver to support operations within the Asphalt division. This position is responsible for safely operating dump trucks to transport asphalt and related materials to and from job sites while complying with DOT regulations and company safety standards.
The role requires close coordination with plant operations, dispatch, and paving crews to ensure timely and efficient deliveries that support production and placement schedules.
What You’ll Accomplish- Safely operate dump trucks to transport asphalt, aggregates, and related materials in compliance with DOT regulations and company policies
- Perform thorough pre-trip and post-trip inspections and report maintenance or safety concerns promptly
- Maintain accurate driver logs, delivery tickets, and required documentation
- Coordinate with dispatch, plant personnel, and paving crews to ensure efficient and timely deliveries
- Follow all job site safety procedures, traffic control requirements, and environmental guidelines
- Adjust driving and dumping operations based on weather, road conditions, and job site constraints
- Ensure proper loading, securement, and unloading of materials to prevent spills or damage
- Communicate effectively with asphalt crews and assist as needed to support safe site operations
- Represent the organization professionally when interacting with customers, contractors, and the public
- Promote and adhere to all health, safety, and environmental policies
Education:
- High School Diploma or equivalent
- Minimum 2 years of dump truck driving experience, preferably in asphalt or construction materials
- Daily regional travel required to multiple job sites
Qualifications:
- Strong knowledge of DOT regulations and safe driving practices
- Ability to complete accurate inspections and documentation
- Effective communication and teamwork skills
- Ability to adapt to changing road, weather, and job site conditions
- Strong commitment to safety and PPE compliance
- Adherence to all required safety protocols and Personal Protective Equipment (PPE) standards
