• Estimated Weekly Pay: $1,990–$2,100 (competitive travel nursing pay)
• On‑Call: 2–3 weekday on‑call shifts (11:00 pm–7:00 am) and 2 weekend 24‑hour calls per 6‑week period
• Weekend Coverage: 2 weekends per 6‑week contract
• Float:
  Required to float to ICU (critical care support)

• Minimum 2 years of PACU RN experience, including pediatric PACU experience
• ICU experience required — strong critical care skills preferred
• Active RN license:
  Maryland RN or compact state license accepted
• Certifications:
  
  ACLS, BLS, and PALS required
• Experience with Cerner electronic health record/charting system
• Ability to manage patient ratios of 2:1 in PACU
• Flu vaccine required (no exemptions)
• First‑time travel nurses accepted — ideal travel nursing job for PACU RNs transitioning to travel
• Two supervisor references required

• Provide comprehensive post‑anesthesia care to adolescents, adults, pediatrics, and geriatrics in the PACU
• Monitor and manage patient recovery in Phase I and Phase II post‑anesthesia care
• Perform pre‑operative and post‑operative assessments, patient education, and discharge planning relevant to PACU care
• Administer and manage IVs, arterial lines, central lines, and blood products as indicated
• Recognize and manage dysrhythmias, pain control, respiratory complications, and other post‑op complications
• Care for ventilated patients and perform airway management and interventions as needed
• Float to ICU to support critical care patient needs and collaborate with ICU teams
• Participate in scheduled on‑call coverage and weekend shifts
• Collaborate with interdisciplinary teams including Physical Therapy, Respiratory Services, Radiology, and Pharmacy
• Maintain accurate, timely documentation using Cerner EHR
