Travel RN - Labor & Delivery

American Traveler is seeking an experienced RN for a high-risk Labor & Delivery position requiring NRP, STABLE, and C-EFM certifications, with charge experience and on-call availability.

Job Details

• High-risk Labor & Delivery unit in a hospital setting,

• High-risk antepartum patient population, including assist with high-risk deliveries and C-section circulator duties,

• Fetal monitoring including use of external fetal monitoring and recognition and treatment of abnormal fetal heart rate patterns,

• Obstetrical triage experience is preferred,

• Day shift, 3x12-hour shifts, 7:00-19:30,

• Every other weekend required,

• Every other holiday required,

• On-call required: 36 hours per 6-week period (12 hours per pay period); must be on premises within 45 minutes of receiving a call,

• Floating required within skillset, including Mom/Baby and postpartum units,

Job Requirements

• Active MD or Compact RN license currently in hand,

• Current certifications required: BLS, ACLS, NRP, S.T.A.B.L.E., and C-EFM (all must be in hand),

• AWHONN Advanced or Intermediate certification preferred,

• Minimum 2 years of L&D RN experience required,

• High-risk L&D experience required,

• Previous charge nurse experience required,

Skills required:

C-section circulator, fetal heart monitoring (FHM), and preceptor and/or charge responsibilities,

• Two supervisor references from within the past 2 years required for consideration,

• Driver's license required for consideration,

• Candidates who were previously employed by Med Star must have been separated for a minimum of one year before being considered for this position,

• Candidates may only be submitted to one Med Star location at a time,

• No RTO permitted during the first two weeks of the assignment; no more than 7 days of RTO per 13-week contract, and all RTO must be disclosed upfront,

• Local candidates residing within 60 miles are accepted; local status is determined by the candidate's address matching their driver's license,
