Job Description

American Traveler is seeking an experienced travel RN for a MS/Tele Float Pool position requiring prior travel experience, community hospital background, and weekend night availability.

• Community hospital setting on a MS/Tele Float unit
• Weekend night shift schedule:
  Friday, Saturday, and Sunday, 19:00–07:30 (3x12)
• Patient ratio of 1:6
• Floating required within skillset and acuity level
• Charting via Cerner (experience required)
• 13-week contract
• Skills expected include telemetry monitoring, dysrhythmia interpretation and management, cardiac monitoring, IV therapy, blood product administration, PICC and port management, heparin protocols, BiPAP/CPAP, high-flow nasal cannula (HFNC), ABG interpretation, tracheostomy care, wound care/wound vac, and isolation precautions/PPE
• Previous charge nurse experience preferred
• Candidates who previously worked for Med Star must have been separated for a minimum of one year before being eligible to apply
• No RTO is permitted during the first two weeks of the assignment; no more than 7 days of RTO per 13-week contract, and all RTO requests must be submitted upfront
• Local candidates residing within 60 miles are accepted; candidate's address must match their driver's license to determine local status
• Manager interviews are not guaranteed — candidates should be comfortable proceeding without one
• Facility-specific compliance modules must be completed within one week of contract signing

• Active MD or compact RN license required
• Current BLS required; ACLS and NIHSS preferred
• Minimum 2 years of RN experience required
• Prior travel nursing experience required
• Community hospital experience required
• Must pass the Relias EKG Rhythm Interpretation Exam with a minimum overall score of 80% and a score of 100% on lethal rhythms
• Cerner EMR experience required
• Two supervisor references from within the past 2 years required for consideration
• A valid driver's license matching current address required for consideration
