Job Description
American Traveler is seeking an experienced Emergency Department RN with current travel and combined adult/pediatric ED experience for a rotating day/night assignment.
Responsibilities- Position is based in a combined adult and pediatric Emergency Department setting
- Typical schedule is 3x12 hour shifts with day/night rotating (07:00-19:30 and 11:00-23:30)
- Patient ratio is typically 1:4
- Every other weekend and every other holiday are required
- Floating within skillset is required
- Primary responsibilities include ED triage, IV starts, and phlebotomy for both adults and children
- Charge nurse experience is preferred but not required
- Local candidates within 60 miles are accepted at a different rate
- First time travelers will not be considered for this role
- Active MD or Compact RN license required
- Minimum of 2 years of recent ED nursing experience required
- Current travel nursing experience in the ED is required
- Certifications required: BLS, ACLS, NIHSS, and PALS
- Preferred certifications: TNCC, CPI, MAB
- General ED experience covering both adult and pediatric populations required
- Skills required include triage, IV starts, and phlebotomy
- Must pass the Relias EKG Rhythm Interpretation Exam with a minimum overall score of 80% and 100% on lethal rhythms
