Job Description
American Traveler is seeking an experienced RN for an Emergency Department night shift position requiring ED experience and current ACLS, BLS, NIHSS, and PALS certifications.
Responsibilities- Work in a combined adult and pediatric Emergency Department setting
- Patient ratio is typically 1:4
- Night shifts, four 12-hour shifts per week from 7:00 PM to 7:30 AM
- Every other weekend and holiday required
- Float within skillset as needed
- General ED cases including triage, IV starts, and phlebotomy
- Provide emergency nursing care for both adult and pediatric populations
- Participation in team-based patient care alongside interdisciplinary staff
- All candidates are required to float within their skillset
- Every other weekend and holiday coverage is mandatory
- Local candidates within 60 miles are accepted
- Active MD or compact RN license
- Minimum 2 years of Emergency Department nursing experience required
- Previous travel nurse experience required
- Current ACLS, BLS, NIHSS, and PALS certifications required
- Must successfully pass the Relias EKG Rhythm Interpretation Exam with at least an 80% overall and 100% on lethal rhythms
- Skills in triage, IV starts, and phlebotomy required
- TNCC, CPI, and MAB certifications preferred
- Charge nurse experience preferred
