Job Description
American Traveler is seeking an experienced Emergency Department RN for a night shift position requiring ACLS, BLS, NIHSS, PALS certifications, and success on a cardiac rhythm exam.
Responsibilities- Work in a combined adult and pediatric Emergency Department setting
- Patient assignment ratio is 1:4
- Night shifts available, 3x12 or 4x12 hour shifts from 19:00 to 07:30
- Every other weekend and every other holiday required
- Triage, IV starts, and phlebotomy are key clinical skills for this role
- Local candidates within 60 miles accepted at a different rate
- First-time travelers are accepted for this position
- Return staff must have a minimum 1-year break from previous employment with the health system
- Orientation modules must be completed, averaging 12 hours pre-start
- Dress code and holiday scheduling expectations apply
- Active MD or compact RN license required
- Minimum two years of Emergency Department experience required
- Certifications required: ACLS, BLS, NIHSS, and PALS
- Pass the Relias EKG Rhythm Interpretation Exam with at least 80% overall and 100% on lethal rhythms
- Charge experience preferred
- TNCC, CPI, and MAB preferred but not required
- Two recent supervisor references required
