Duties
  • Establish and lead the configuration management (CM) program for the U.S. Army's Tactical Intelligence Targeting Access Node (TITAN) system.
  • Provide rigorous CM to manage its complex and deeply integrated hardware, software, and firmware baselines through the entire program lifecycle, fundamental to maintaining the integrity of the TITAN system.
  • Implement and enforce disciplined CM processes to ensure all changes are systematically identified, evaluated, and documented, guaranteeing that the deployed system is always in a known and approved state.
  • CM Program & Plan Development:
Develop, implement, and maintain the program's Configuration Management Plan (CMP), detailing unified processes for managing the complete system baseline (hardware, software, firmware, and documentation).
  • Configuration Identification (CI):
Lead the identification and documentation of all Hardware CIs (HWCI) and Computer Software CIs (CSCI). Establish and control the system's Functional, Allocated, and Product Baselines.

  • Software CM & Build Management:
Oversee the version control of all software source code, build scripts, and deployment packages. Ensure all software builds are repeatable, documented, and traceable to the approved baseline.
  • Configuration Status Accounting:
Maintain a precise repository that accounts for the status of all CIs. Generate reports that provide a holistic view of the current system configuration, including software versions and hardware part numbers.
  • Configuration Audits:
Plan and lead Functional Configuration Audits (FCAs) and Physical Configuration Audits (PCAs) to verify that the as‑built system (both hardware and loaded software) conforms to its approved documentation.
  • CM Repository & Tools:
Manage and administer the program's CM tool suite, ensuring it can manage and relate hardware parts lists, software repositories (e.g., Git), and all associated documentation.
Required Skills & Experience
  • Detail‑oriented with excellent technical, verbal, and written communication skills.
  • Direct experience in design, integration, configuration, and analysis of complex software systems, military electronics, computer networking, and digital and graphic display systems (hardware systems).

  • Demonstrated experience managing a formal CCB process and processing ECPs for both hardware and software changes.
  • Proficiency with industry‑standard CM and product lifecycle management (PLM) tools.
  • Direct experience with software version control systems (e.g., Git) and build management in an Agile or Dev Ops environment.
  • Familiarity with the TITAN program or similar complex C5
