Job Details:

• Work 3x12 hour rotating day/night shifts from 7:00 AM to 7:30 PM and 11:00 PM to 11:30 PM
• Patient ratio of 1:4 for days, nights, and weekends
• Every other weekend and holiday coverage required
• Float within skillset as needed
• 2 years of nursing experience required
• Travel experience required
• Charge experience preferred
• Must successfully pass Relias EKG Rhythm Interpretation Exam with minimum 80% overall score and 100% on lethal rhythms
• General Emergency Department combined adult/pediatric setting experience required
• Required certifications: ACLS, BLS, NIHSS, PALS
• Preferred certifications: TNCC, CPI, MAB
• Maryland nursing license required (compact license or MD license accepted)
• Skills required:
  
  Triage, IV starts, phlebotomy, interpretation and management of dysrhythmias, CPAP/BiPAP, care of ventilated patients, isolation precautions/PPE
• Must have recent ED experience within past 8 months in setting with at least 45,600 visits per year
• Flu vaccination required with no exemptions
• Two supervisor references required
• Must complete facility-specific modules within one week of signing contract

Facility:

This healthcare organization operates a busy emergency department with 40 beds and handles approximately 130 visits per day. The facility provides comprehensive emergency services for patients of all ages from neonates to geriatrics in a combined adult/pediatric setting. The department is supported by interdisciplinary teams including respiratory services, social services, rapid response teams, pharmacy, transportation, and unit secretaries, ensuring high-quality patient care in a fast-paced environment.
