Job Details:

• Work 12-hour day shifts from 7:00 AM to 7:30 PM

• Three shifts per week (3x12 schedule)

• Every other weekend requirement

• Float assignment required

• Patient ratio of 5-6 patients across all shifts

• 2 years of nursing experience required

• First-time travelers accepted

• Must successfully pass Relias EKG Rhythm Interpretation Exam with minimum 80% overall score and 100% on lethal rhythms

• Required certifications: BLS and NIHSS

• Previous charge experience preferred

• Experience with Cerner charting system required

• Must be comfortable with cardiac telemetry, interpretation and management of dysrhythmias

• Skills include IV insulin protocols, blood product administration, central line care, PICC line management, wound care, tracheostomy care, and isolation precautions

• Care for adult and geriatric patient populations

• 36-hour orientation provided

• Open to 8-week contracts

• One pre-approved time off request allowed

This healthcare facility operates a 30-bed medical surgical telemetry unit with a daily census of 28 patients. The facility provides comprehensive interdisciplinary support including IV teams, physical therapy, respiratory services, interpretation services, phlebotomy, radiology, social services, rapid response teams, pharmacy, transportation, and unit secretary services. The organization maintains high standards for patient care and utilizes advanced monitoring technology to ensure optimal outcomes for medical surgical patients requiring telemetry monitoring.
