Job Details:

• Work 12-hour night shifts from 7:00 PM to 7:30 AM

• 4x12 schedule with every other weekend required

• Every other holiday coverage required

• No on-call responsibilities

• General emergency department combined adult/pediatric setting experience required

• 2 years of nursing experience required

• Travel experience required (hard stop requirement)

• Charge experience preferred

• Patient ratio of 1:4

• Must successfully pass Relias EKG Rhythm Interpretation Exam with minimum 80% overall score and 100% on lethal rhythms

• Required certifications: ACLS, BLS, NIHSS, PALS

• Preferred certifications: TNCC, CPI, MAB

• Must have compact license or Maryland license

Skills required:

Triage (hard stop requirement), IV starts, phlebotomy

• Must have worked in ED setting with at least 45,600 visits per year (125/day) within past 8 months

• Float within skillset as needed

• Requires expert prioritization and organizational skills to manage fast ER pace

• Care for patients of all age groups: neonates, infants, pediatrics, adolescents, adults, geriatrics

• Complete facility-specific modules within one week of contract signing

This healthcare facility operates a busy emergency department with 40 rooms and 40 beds, handling approximately 130 visits per day. The department provides comprehensive emergency services for combined adult and pediatric populations, with interdisciplinary support including respiratory services, social services, rapid response teams, pharmacy, transportation, and unit secretarial support. The facility maintains high standards for emergency care and requires specialized skills in rhythm interpretation and emergency procedures.
