Job Details:

• Work 12-hour night shifts from 7:00 PM to 7:30 AM

• 4x12 schedule with every other weekend required

• Every other holiday coverage required

• No on-call responsibilities

• Patient ratio of 1:4 across all shifts

• Float within skillset as needed

• General emergency department combined adult/pediatric setting experience required

• Must successfully pass the Relias EKG Rhythm Interpretation Exam with minimum 80% overall score and 100% on lethal rhythms

• 2 years of experience required with travel experience mandatory

• Previous charge experience preferred

• Required certifications: ACLS, BLS, NIHSS, and PALS

• Preferred certifications: TNCC, CPI, MAB

Skills required:

Triage, IV starts, phlebotomy, interpretation and management of dysrhythmias, CPAP/BiPAP, care of ventilated patients

• Care for patients of all ages: neonates, infants, pediatrics, adolescents, adults, and geriatrics

• Must have worked in an ED setting with at least 45,600 visits per year within the past 8 months

• Flu vaccine required with no exemptions

• Compact license or Maryland license required

Facility:

This healthcare facility operates a busy emergency department with 40 rooms and 40 beds, handling approximately 130 visits per day. The emergency department provides comprehensive care in a combined adult/pediatric setting with interdisciplinary support including respiratory services, social services, rapid response teams, pharmacy, transportation, and unit secretary services. The facility maintains high standards for emergency care and requires staff to demonstrate expert prioritization and organizational skills to manage the fast-paced environment.
