Job Details:

• Work 3x12 hour shifts with day/night rotation: 7:00 AM - 7:30 PM & 11:00 PM - 11:30 PM

• Patient ratio of 1:4 across all shifts

• General emergency department combined adult/pediatric setting

• Care for all age groups: neonates, infants, pediatrics, adolescents, adults, and geriatrics

• Daily census of 130 patients with 40 rooms/beds available

• Every other weekend required

• Every other holiday coverage required

• Float within skillset as needed

• No on-call requirements

• Must successfully pass Relias EKG Rhythm Interpretation Exam with minimum 80% overall score and 100% on lethal rhythms

• Required certifications: ACLS, BLS, NIHSS, PALS

• Preferred certifications: TNCC, CPI, MAB

• 2 years of experience required

• Travel experience required

• Charge experience preferred

• Triage experience is a hard stop requirement

Skills required:

Triage, IV starts, phlebotomy, interpretation and management of dysrhythmias, CPAP/BiPAP, ventilated patient care, isolation precautions

• Must have worked in ED setting with at least 45,600 visits per year within past 8 months

• Flu vaccine required with no exemptions

• Requires compact license or Maryland license

The facility provides comprehensive emergency services with interdisciplinary support including respiratory services, social services, rapid response teams, pharmacy, transportation, and unit secretaries. The emergency department combines adult and pediatric care, requiring staff to manage a diverse patient population across all age groups in a fast-paced environment that demands expert prioritization and organizational skills.
