Insight Global is seeking an Senior Electrical Engineer to support a large engineering client of ours in the Sparks Maryland region. This individual will be responsible for the design and preparation of construction drawings supporting industrial, commercial, and public sector electrical projects. They will be working on conventional types of plans, investigations, surveys, structures, and equipment. They will assist in the development of multiple projects and plans working directly with the electrical design team and project managers.
Their focus on these projects will be energy efficiency and sustainability.
- 10+ years of electrical engineering experience
- Possess a PE license
- Able to run a project from start to finish (initial walkthrough, design, coordinate with other engineers, finalize and approve drawings)
- Experience with low-to-mid voltage
- Power distribution, emergency systems, lighting systems and controls, and power systems
- Proficient with REVIT (they use Revit 90% of the time)
- Experience with AGI
32, ETAP, SKM, Visual
- Experience testing electrical systems (ARC Flash, Continuity, Coordination)
- Familiarity with NFPA or IEEE Standards
- Data Center Experience
- Come from a construction, architecture, or engineering background
