Overview
Mercy One Clinton has an excellent full-time employment opportunity for a Board Certified or Board Eligible Medical Oncologist to join a well-established practice located in Clinton, Iowa. The practice is attached to the hospital and currently sees an average of 30 patients per day. New patient visits are allocated 30 minutes and follow-up patients 15 minutes. The selected candidate can expect to split their time 30/70 between Hematology and Medical Oncology.
Physicians are supported by four RNs, MA, CNA, and a receptionist. Hospitalists are available to cover infusions, if needed. After hour calls are by phone only and are very minimal. According to the FY22-24 CHNA, cancer was identified as one of the top health needs in the Mercy One service area, and Mercy One is pursuing COD/COC Accreditation. Onsite Radiation Oncology is an outreach of the University of Iowa.

- Full-time employed opportunity – services at the Davenport and Clinton clinics with shared call
- Competitive compensation with a three-year guarantee ($650k in years 1-2; year 3: $600k plus wRVU), then transition to a wRVU model

The role involves clinical practice in Hematology/Oncology, with time split approximately 30% Hematology and 70% Medical Oncology, in a facility that supports a busy oncology service and includes infusion coverage as needed.
Qualifications- MD or DO
- BE/BC in Hematology/Oncology
- Ability to obtain and hold an unrestricted license to practice in both Iowa and Illinois
- Unrestricted authority to prescribe and administer medications as appropriate
