Job Details:

• Work under the direction of a Radiologist to perform invasive procedures for pathological evaluation

• 13-week contract length

• Interview required (will be scheduled through Magnit)

• Explain examination procedures to patients and prepare them for examinations

• Obtain additional patient medical history information as necessary

• Prepare prescribed contrast media, medications, and IV solutions for patient administration

• Review clinical data, analyze patient anatomy, and set up equipment following protocols

• Assist Radiologist in performing complex diagnostic invasive procedures

• Prepare and set up sterile equipment, physiological monitors, pressure injectors, and imaging equipment

• Ensure adequate supplies (needles, catheters, etc.) are available and properly stored

• Actively assess patient condition before, during, and following all procedures

• Manually control equipment to obtain proper diagnostic information

• May assist with training new personnel and students assigned to the division

• Perform imaging procedures using radiation protection principles including patient shielding and ALARA techniques

• Resolve PACS image exceptions and ensure high quality image delivery

• Complete all study indexing in RIS including study begin, end, and completion

• Perform Quality Assurance procedures as appropriate

• Complete all medical record documentation and radiology information system entries

• Operate power injectors and work with guide wires

• Perform stent grafting including emergency procedures

• Work independently/solo as needed and be a self-starter

• Required certifications: BLS and ARRT with advanced registry in CI, VI, or CV

• High School Diploma or G.E.D. equivalent required

• Must maintain required continued medical education hours
