Anesthesiology Physician Columbia, MO(Locum Tenens)

Position Overview:

We have an immediate need for a locum Anesthesiology Physician to provide interventional procedures for our veteran population at the VA Medical Center in Columbia, MO.

This role offers an opportunity to make a meaningful impact in veterans lives while experiencing the unique experience of Americas Heartland.

Conduct pre-operative risk assessments and physical exams

Administer anesthesia and monitor patients during procedures

Perform IVs, arterial/central line placements, and monitoring device setups

Provide care in the OR, PACU, GI/bronchoscopy suites, and bedside as needed

Support post-op care, including ventilator and pain management

Participate in the pre-op assessment program

Collaborate with CRNAs, surgeons, and interdisciplinary teams

Complete administrative duties (e.g., CME, committee work, FPPE/OPPEs)
Maintain an active medical license and perform other assigned duties

Must have completed a residency in anesthesiology and be Board Certified/Board Eligible by the American Board of Anesthesiology (ABA).Credentialling and onboarding takes approximately 4-6 weeks. Hours &
